THE NETHERLANDS POLICE FORCED KLM TO HELP A STUDENT.

HOME

Monique Zaayman lost her passport and was therefore not entitled to stay in the Netherlands. The police officer informed Monique and I that they regarded the whole incident as KLM’s mistake. They forced KLM to give her a confirmed seat on the next flight to Cape Town and they insisted on her receiving her meal vouchers.

KLM adhered to this demand.

The police however could not help the other students because, in spite of the fact that KLM acted in a bad way, it did not constitute a crime and none of the other group members were in the Netherlands illegally.

We highly appreciate the professional way the police handled the situation with KLM and their general approach towards our problem.
