WE TRIED TO RECTIFY THE SITUATIONOn Saturday 19 June, we were suffering. Our funds were very low and we were on standby yet again. We visited KLM and nine boys namely, Emil Kraemer, JD Maree, Pieter-Niel Muller, Stephan du Plessis, Frederick Strauss, Frank Oosthuizen, Jacobus Van Niekerk, Adam Van Heerden and Anton Louw accompanied me to the KLM desk. I confronted the manager, Mr. Kuijer, in their presence. He asked us to wait and after about 10 minutes he came back and confirmed that all boys were to come back on standby on the Sunday but that all boys were confirmed on the Tuesdays flight. On Tuesday we found that Stephan Du Plessis and Pieter-Niel Muller were once again on standby. We handed him the following letter (on 19 July) from our attorneys, which he promised to hand to his superiors. We also faxed it to them. Up until now, the existence of this letter has not yet been acknowledged. (Latest news) We received acknowledgement of the letter at 12h00 on 28 July 2008) |
